BROKEN AND BRUISED

Episode 51

Lillian busy in the living room is keeping a very broken hearted Rebecca entertained, telling her all those fake stories about Ron being Someone who takes his stress on every thing and Everyone, Becky is not easily fooled and can see she's only covering up for her son..... all of a sudden patience walks towards them

"Mother we need to talk" Lillian didn't like her tone

"Let it Wait"

"This is more pressing and and so urgent" she didn't even wait for her mothers answer and walks out of the house

"Excuse me....I need to deal with this one" she follows her daughter and Becky can only open her mouth in bewilderment

"What's wrong with all of you people in this house..... you're are all mysterious and strange".........

" What's wrong with you patience..... why were you insisting that we talk like this is a matter of life and death"

"Because it is....." she grabs her mother's hand and pulls her further deeper into the garden

"Hey hey.....some respect please, I'm your mother......what's wrong with you"

"We are in deep trouble mother!..... double trouble"

"It's not just about me mother....." she looks around to see if someone is coming

"Look Mira sweetheart, children don't stay in hospitals, don't you Remember how I used to send you out to play whenever you visited my hospital" Mira remembers

"Now if you don't want to get sick.....go over to Grandma and help me take my phone to aunty Jane" Mira accepts but it's like she's trusting Mac more than her father, Tobi takes her to the door and opens the door for her, he kisses the little girls and closes the door, walks back to Mac

"Calm down......this was a major blow to her but like I said to you, she needs enough rest and she should be kept away from things that remind her of her awful past....she should be wide a free clear mind" Tobi climbs the bed and sits close to her, he takes her hands in his

"That's enough Tobi... she's not even hearing you" he comes and sits down near him

"I don't know if I used the right procedure but all I needed was to tell her the Truth before someone else did"

"But how do you feel now that you have told her every thing"

"Not everything..... in fact she asked the question about something I couldn't even say, I only confirmed it and that is how far we went with the talk..... now I feel anxious, I feel, i feel impatient.... I don't know what she's going to want after here but I only hope she's going to give me a chance to explain how it all happened"

"Tobi....if I were you, I wouldn't count so much on that....there is a high possibility she will not want anything to do with you..... I have to be frank with you" this is like someone slicing Tobi's heart with a sword

Episode 52

Mac was able to take Mel out of her home to be admitted at the hospital even against Tobi's will but he had no choice because he wants the best for her, he doesn't know what he's going to do if Mel all of a sudden says she doesn't want anything to do with him....he's going to die, he was able to follow them to the hospital and begged Mac to let him see her for the last time and he was allowed........he enters her room and can see she's still not awake, he kneels down at the foot of the bed and all the tears he has been holding up pour out suddenly like they were waiting for him to be alone with her........

"Babe......please wake up and let's talk....wake up and tell me what I need to do in order to gain all your forgiveness.... wake up and let's finish our talk please my love I beg of you.....I wish I could make you understand it was never my intention to hurt you at all" he continues to cry and refuses to leave even when Mac comes to drag him out of there.....he decides to let him be for a while and that's when Mel started to make a move, Tobi sits still and looks scared too

"Babe....you're awake......look at me, you're awake"

"Where am I....where am I.....what have you done to me" she begins to panic

"Calm down nothing has happened to you.... you're fine and I'm here with you"

"No no no....don't get close to me, I don't want to see you" she's holding onto the bedsheets like he's going to hurt her, the more he moves closer, the more she tries to get away

"Don't touch me.....stay away from Me.... I don't want to see you" her voice attracts Mac who didn't waste time to come into the room

"Please get him out of here.... I don't Want to see him" she says to Mac as she continues to point at Tobi who is doing nothing apart from shading tears, Mel is sweating and Mac can tell she truly means it when she says she doesn't want Tobi there, he turns to him

"Brother.....do as she says, leave now before this gets any uglier"

"But I just want to explain things to her"

"I know.... but both of you are not in your right minds right now and the best will be to do as she says" Tobi breaks down

"She doesn't want to see me Mac.... she hates me...she hates me" Mac can't handle this and he calls Jane to come take Tobi away.....all this while Ofelia and her sister couldn't understand what's going on but not they can tell it's something serious..........

"How do you feel now Melanie" Mac who is still unsure of the way to talk to her asks, he's a little scared she's going to say she doesn't want anything to do with him since he and Tobi are best of friends....more like brothers but Mel just looked at him and breaks down

"Why.....why Mac.... why, why didn't you just inject me and I die once and for all.....why did you spare me....why" she's beginning to sound hysterical

"Calm down Mel.... you're not well"

"I'm very fine....I'm very fine Mac, thanks to your friend...." Mac comes closer to her and holds her hand but she gets away from him

"Did you also know about this.....tell me the truth" Mac is caught off guard but he has no reason to lie to her

"I won't lie to you Melanie.... yes I knew about it but trust me it's not what you think"

"I was so happy, so happy thinking I had found the perfect man and the perfect love but it was all just a dream..... oh poor me, how he must have made fun of me all this while"

"No no no Melanie..... don't think of it this way, I don't entirely agree with what Tobi did....I mean him not coming clean to you about what happened but I can assure You the best thing would be giving him a chance to explain what really happened" Mel yanks off the cannula from her hand and the next thing she's standing

"Look here....he's your friend and I know that but don't mock me this way I don't want to know what he has to say....what's there to say anyway....." she starts to cry again

"I'm a fool.... a very big fool and it hurts it hurts" she holds onto her heart...... my heart aches it aches because you know why....like a fool and moron I am, I fell in love, I fell for Tobi and I'm..... I'm " she can't finish it as she crashes down Mac comes closer and this time he doesn't touch her

"Melanie..... Tobi loves you too....he loves you more than love itself, he loves you more than anything in this world"

"Oh please don't make me hate you too.....he was only with me to mock me, he was with me because he wanted to protect his name and honor, he wanted to avoid scandal because it would not be good for his business.... that's it, that's it and you know what, he just succeeded.....I don't ever want to see him, and thanks to him....I will forever remain bruised but that's fine, I'm going to take my daughter right this minute, take my mother and aunty with me.... we are going to leave his house, I want him out of our lives forever" she walks to the door

"But you have no where to go to" she turns to him

"That's true....you're very right I have no where to go but that's not new to me, that's not an excuse I should use, I can find a way out of this mess I created for myself... I swear I can find a little place we can put up in for a while" she turns to walk away again

"You can't do that now......"

"And why is that"

"It's.... it's because you and Tobi are expecting another child....yes Melanie.... you're three weeks pregnant" she freezes and slowly comes back to face him

"Does he know" he shakes his head

"As much as I love him....I couldn't throw my ethics away and tell him....I just found out"....without another word she leaves the room and runs Into her mothers arms weeping and attracting the attention of everyone around...........

" Mother get me out of here.....get me out of here now "

"What happened" Ofelia is so confused but then she sees Mira run up

"Mummy mummy....are you fine now Mummy" Mel takes a long look at Ber daughter and with fresh tears scoops her in her arms .........

"Tell me where I should drop you Tobi please" Jane is becoming so scared, she has never seen her boss this confused and he looks wasted yet she doesn't understand what's happening, she has been driving him around for some time now yet he can't even say where exactly he's going

"Take me home"

"Which home..... you said the last thing you wanted was to go back home"

"My mother's home....yes to my mother's" Jane takes the direction

"Can you at least tell me what's going on....you're scaring the hell out of me already"

"I'm a monster.....a monster, I just want to die please Jane I want to die"....they arrive at Monica's and a very looking so drunk Tobi comes out of the car......Monica who was already in her car ready to drive out but stopped when she saw her son's car drive in sees him.......

" What happened.... did you have a fight or something...what's wrong with you " Tobi falls down on his knees

"No mother.....Melanie knows it all...she knows it all and she doesn't want anything to do with me...she doesn't want me" both Monica and Jane look so shocked........

Ronald has been trying so hard to reach Melanie on phone but her phone is not been answered

"That's strange.... she would not be ignoring my calls this much.... something is up and I need to find out what it is" he searches for Tobi's company's detail on internet and finds a number he calls

"Hello...." Janet answers

"Hi....can I talk to Mr Tobias Akankwasa..."

"Sorry Sir... He's not in office today and o have no idea where he must be"

"Is there really no way I can talk to him.....I had an appointment with him and i can't seem to reach him"

"Let me check up...his PA is not in office too.... but I can give you his home address... don't say where you got it from" Janet sent him the number and Ron didn't waste time in calling Tobi's home

"Hello....is this Mr Tobias's residence" it's the maid answers

"Good may i speak with Mr Tobias please, it's very urgent"

"Yes this is his residence but he's not in"

"May I speak with Melanie his wife at least"

"Both of them are not here.... Mrs Melanie had a little accident and she was rushed to the hospital"

"Jeeezzz which hospital....when did it happen"

"Pioneer.... yes pioneer I think that's it....."

"Thank you for the information"

"Your name please Sir" He drops the call and runs to his car.... he needs to get to the hospital......
