Episode 71

The struggle with the gun continues as Ronald and Becky toss it left and right, up and down.....he's so determined to take the gun away from her but she's not letting him win that easily....... it turns out Mel was shot in the left upper arm and she's bleeding profusely..... she breaths with difficulty and her mind flashes to her family, her husband, her little daughter and her mother and aunt, she remembers all the pain she has gone through ever since she got to know this Ronald of a man......tears Begin to flow

"Please lord I don't want to die.....I don't want to, I still have a lot to want to live for so spare me Lord..... I can't die without trying" she looks around as the two continue to struggle, something tells her to sneak out but she knows the end result if she dare tries it...... the best she can just do is to hide besides the big family bed........

"It's now the turn of Lillian who has been so shocked for the whole thing to do the shouting because the two fighting are not even listening

" You both should let go if this gun....it's not fun to play or even joke with one because it can go off anytime soon......let's solve this like mature people that we are please I beg of you" no one is listening to all her shouting...... this house is deep down in a lonely place that people rarely come there or even pay attention on what happens there so it was the perfect place for Ron's hideout and all that he had planned......the struggle continues for a about two minutes and suddenly there is another gunshot but this time the gun was fired side ways where the doctor was tied up, the bullet goes straight into his scull..... Melanie who is in a lot of pain wants to scream but she can't find the strength, her own life is slipping away with her watching it and she's becoming so weak.....the shot also sent Lillian falling flat on her back on the floor.....Ron and Becky stand in shock too, non of them is talking but they are just starring at themselves......Lillian who recovers long enough at first thinks one of them was the one who got shot and she instantly rose up to her feet, she comes closer to them and sees her son is the one holding the gun and Becky is so safe and not wounded....she looks aside and sees the doctor lying dead on the floor with his hands and legs still tied

"Oh my God!.... Jesus what have you both done" she screams and Ron and Becky finally raise up their heads to see the work of their hands, before Becky can do anything, Ron points the gun on her head

"Please son that's enough..... did you call me hear to come and witness this....if only I knew" Lillian is ranting on and on not knowing that this is enraging her son the more but suddenly Ron screams

"Shut up mother.....don't play saint with me or else I will do to you exactly what I'm about to do to this bitch here" he ends his talk by hitting his mother with the gun on the head and she falls flat on her back, Ron does this but he doesn't take his eyes from Becky.......

Becky is breathing and panting

"Now who has the gun? huh....answer me who has the gun you bitch..... damn you, who are you to threaten me with a gun on my head, who are you answer me bitch" he walks closer to her with the gun pointed on her forehead but she doesn't shake nor does she tremble...... she doesn't even blink

"I'm not afraid of you .....you good for nothing bastard"

"Oh yeah!..... or well you should because we are ending this right here right now..... before anyone gets here.....but the only one leaving here dead is you Rebecca.... only you..... I was willing to let you return to your country to your wretched family in one peace not until when you tried to pull a fast one on me.....you messed with the wrong guy I tell you....you have gone too far and you have lost it"

"You call my family wretched?...... did you actually do that Ronald? well let me lecture you, I have moved the world, I have met people but I can comfortably testify that I have never met a family as wretched and crazy as yours.......don't think just because you have the gun you now have upper hand.........oh no no no Darling.... you're very wrong, completely wrong" he had forgotten that she had another gun stuffed well under her coat....it's the one she had taken from him, she points at him with both of them now holding the guns in their faces..........

Tobi is driving in a very worrying speed towards the place, his mind was not working well and he had not informed anyone about this call he got from Mel and that he's headed there now.......he doesn't have time to do that now because his only and only priority is to save his wife...... He's approaching the area when his phone starts to ring ,he picks without looking at the caller

"Hello"

"Tobi... where are you.....I'm at your home but no one here knows about your where about"

"I'm not there and I don't know if I'm going to come back Early"

"But where are you........you don't sound alright"

"Mel called.... she told me where that bastard is keeping her and I'm on my way there"

"Wait....who are you with, the police?"

"I'm alone"

"Whaaaat?..... you can't be serious Tobi what came over you, what If all this is a setup and you will be trapped"

"Well it's worth trying..... that's the sacrifice for love..... Whether trap or not.....
I'm not going to change my mind about this"

"Can you at least tell me where you're and where she told you she was"

"I'm almost there and she's in kuluva....."

"I know where exactly he's been keeping her now..... please wait for me, don't act stupid in front of them.....I'm coming, so let me figure out a way" they end the call as Tobi continues to drive vowing that Mel will leave this place alive even if it means him loosing his own............

Melanie is trying to hold on even though it impossible now, she has somehow given up on leaving this place alive but begs God to let her husband be the last thing she sees here ........but in order for that to happen, she has to stop the bleeding. she can't even explain why she's still alive despite all this.....luckily she finds a piece of cloth probably Ron's shirt, she struggles to tie her arm with it........

"I didn't plan on spending this much time here but I'm loving the turn up of events Ronald.... at least I have got enough time to let you know how much I hate you"

"The feeling is mutual.....I didn't think you would be stupid enough to step your foot here"

"I wanted to tell you to your face that you can never and will never have Melanie...
you can never have any other woman even if I let you live.... so get ready to go to hell" they hear another knock at the door and they keep quiet as the knock continues

"Didn't take him long though" she says but Ron is more enraged and she moves to him

"Where is that bitch.....I want to have a pleasure of finishing her right in front of her husband...."

"You Will do no such thing you fool....and stop calling Mel a bitch because the only one here is you....I will not give you the pleasure of doing that but guess what, you and that useless lover boy husband are dying right here"...... he walks away from her

" You see, I'm actually so happy and so glad that Mel gave him that call....it only shows how much she loves me"....

Outside Tobi is getting so impatient with knocking because no one is opening

"Open up you fool.....you bastard....what have you done to my wife, I need to see her and be with her.....but if you truly say you're a man, come out here and face me like a man and we get done with once and for all you coward" that last word gets to Ron's heart and head, he's so mad and hurt but Becky is not helping the matter

"You see........you hear that..he called me a Coward"

"Hahahaha yeah he did....the young Man surely knows you too well"

"You know why I haven't blown your head and watery mind off.....it's because you're a confused Saul and I want to have a pleasure of giving you a well designed painful yet long death"

"And you know why I haven't blown yours, it's because I want to see that handsome dude who gave you a diarrhea of your life and also a run for your money so I can congratulate him too" she puts down the gun from his face and he does too.....he walks away backwards because he doesn't trust Becky.... he reaches the door of the living room and opens wide the door as Tobi who is sweating was about to knock.....he's left cold by a feel of the gun on his fore head

"Get in here" he follows

"I like how you operate.......but the moment you pull a fast one on me, you're as good as dead" Tobi is pushed inside under gun point as he starts searching for his wife

"Melanie.......He sees her struggling beside the bed and and he rushes over to her side

" Oh my God.... did he hurt you......how are you..... you look wasted my love.....are you alright" before he can even pay attention to her

"Hey hey hey, this is not some honeymoon destination... we're here for a reason so get up and come here.....paying time starts now, you are going to pay for all the hurt you caused me and Melanie" he orders Tobi who didn't even say a word to protest and stands in front of them........as Becky eats him with her eyes, a million dolor questions run in her head but she's not going to let this small destruction take her eyes from her mission to finish Ronald off........

Episode 72 (Final)

Ronald has swifted his anger and attention on Tobi forgetting Becky for now, no matter what his mother says to him, he isn't listening....... his hatred for Tobi has gone to another level and he separates him from Mel, ordering him to move aside or else he would blow his head off.....he points the gun on his head

"I have been waiting for this moment for so long.......I'm happy I finally have the opportunity to kill you myself you rapist, say your last words and last prayers now"

"I'm not afraid of you Ronald, I have seen your worst"

"Oh you haven't....... you haven't seen my worst at all........it should have been you that day, it should have been you.....but don't think just because you survived that day by sending that man to take your wife home, you have nine lives"

"You're a coward and a bastard Ronald, you can't force a woman to be with you against her will"

"Don't remind me you bastard, don't remind me.......all thanks to you Melanie and I couldn't live the perfect happy ever we had planned for ourselves....... you stalked her, you mercilessly raped her and left her shuttered, so broken an bruised"

I will do it right here and after that, Melanie and I will go far away from here.....she and I will be forever happy Like it ought to be I have arranged everything" Ron moves to where the almost dying Melanie is seated, she's supporting her back on the wall, her bleeding has somehow reduced but she knows it's just a matter of time she finally gives up the ghost, she wants to defend her man but she's too weak to do that...... the next thing she knows, Ron is by her side, he forcefully turns her head to kiss her by force, she doesn't know how to defend herself

"Don't you dare think about it" Tobi gets up and yanks him away from there, taking him by caller, he turns Ron around to face him and gives him a blow in the lips sending him crashing down as he falls on the doc's dead body.......Tobi is ready for another one but his weak wife stops him

"Please..... my love, don't, don't do it I beg of you" he listens to her and stops himself........ Ronald gets up wiping the blood on himself and touches the corner of his lips where there is blood

"Hahaha..... I can see you have grown up you pretty boy.....you even have the strength to hit me"

"I would do it again you swine.......you're a psycho, attention seeker all acting mighty and like a victim when you're nothing but a fool, a coward"

"Are you talking to me Tobias"

"Shut up......when you were talking I never acted like a fool giving you audience and listening to all your useless ranting" he walks over to his wife

"You see this woman here, I'm not proud of whatever I did to her years back....... I still haven't forgiven myself for that one mistake but I'm so happy she's now the love of my life........the woman of my dream and my all in all"

"Hahaha...... you're interesting, so interesting pretty boy........ you seem to posses something that draws women to you......first Melanie and then that woman in your office .....that receptionist"

"Excuse me" Tobi asks confused

Mel screams, Tobi stands at ease and Ron suddenly clutches his arm,he's bleeding from the upper arm where Becky shot him on the right arm.......he couldn't bear the pain and falls down screaming, his own mother is too stunned and too scared to even scream

"You bitch......I will deal with you" he hauls insult at her but Becky doesn't blink, she turns the gun on a very scared Tobi

"All of you are taking too long.......this is dragging way beyond and I'm sorry, no one is leaving this place alive except me"......she looks at Ron who is in pain

" I will end with you because yours is a special case......" she turns her attention to Tobi

"I hate to do this.......I really have nothing against you but too bad, I have to do this" Tobi closes his eyes to take the bullet as he clutches his fists but suddenly, there is another crash, he opens his eyes and sees Becky down and the gun flies from her hands Falling on Tobi's feet, he first of all picks it up using his handkerchief...... he looks up and sees Mel standing with flatiron in hand, he's shocked, she had used it to crash her head but how did she even do it

"My love...." he calls and jumps over Becky to catch Mel who passes out right in his arms

"Melanie.......Mel, please my love talk to me" she doesn't respond and doesn't even say a word, her eyes are shut completely........Tobi picks her up and runs out of the room, and on getting out, he sees two cars coming towards them, he stands With Mel In his arms like a solder who just returned from a battle Field........he could see one of the cars is an ambulance, he can tell it's Mac........ they pack and Mac comes out

"What happened to her"

"She was shot and over bled, I can't say if she's breathing or already dead" they carry Mel to the car and Mac feels her pulse

"She's breathing but if nothing is done in the next twenty minutes, she will die" Tobi's surprise

"She has to be taken right now" Mac tries his best to help do what he could do in the ambulance, they drive to the hospital where they find Mel's mother and the others waiting, they had called them on their way there but when every one show Tobi's condition, they all became scared that Mel will not survive it..........Ron, his mother and Becky were all arrested and taken to prison, after their statements, Tobi's friends who engineered the rape were also arrested along with patience and Jenifer...... it was a very juicy Story that hit and shook the country, Everyone wanted to grab a hold of it........minister pope came out clearly to say he wasn't part of everything his wife and daughter did along with their son........he also made it clear that he knew he had no future with his wife from the day he got to find out that the child he loved the most out of the three children he has was not his but his best friend's...... he asks his lawyer to start the paper work for their divorce and to him, what he calls family is perry and he's so thankful that she's his daughter even though not the biological one................Both Ron and Becky were charged with the doctor's death since no one couldn't tell who between the two actually shot him, Ron is also charged with the murder of Tobi's unborn child.....they have been sentenced to life imprisonment and Ron put on treatment because they found him insane..............

ONE MONTH LATER

Mel sits so lost in thought in her compound, everything still looks fresh to her, it's like she's still witnessing everything that took place, she has even failed to heal after all that her husband has done to help her recover especially after she got to know that she can't be able to give her husband a child of her own she stares in space and just so lonely.......... Tobi watches her from a far and a tear escapes from his eyes, he comes slowly towards her but he could tell she wasn't even aware

"Hey..."he says and she sharply turns and forces a smile

" My love.....let's go in, you can't be out here all by yourself "

"I'm fine.....I just need to think"

"About what?"

"My child...... our child, he died Tobi.....he died and I couldn't do anything about it, I didn't even tell you we were going to have a baby......and now, now I won't be able to give you another" she bursts in tears

"Shshshshs" she hugs her

"We already have a child and that is enough for me"

"It's not.....it's not, I want to carry your children, I want have them as you see me Carry them"

"I have seen that already.....let's see the Bright side of this, you and I will just have enough time for ourselves with no interruptions, we make love all day and all night long"....Tobi let's her weep in his arms but in his heart, he is very satisfied with how life has played them, at least it has given him the chance to spend the rest of his life with her by his side ..........

TWO WEEKS LATER

Tobi stands in the church at the alter dressed in his grey suit, he's standing with his best friend and also best man Mac by his side, it's the day he has been waiting for his wedding day........he's abit nervous and Mac sees this

"Chilax Bro, you look like a goat that's about to be slaughtered"

"Man what if she develops cold feet and.....and"

"And why would she, stop being negative and smile....that is gonna motivate her" the arrival of the bride is announced and a very beautiful Mel dressed in a very simple gown steps down amid cheers, her maid of honor is Jane her best friend her mind runs back to five years ago, and the fact that before her wedding she was raped and now before her wedding she was declared not being able to have children again, she tries to have a brave heart but she still sweats, her mother comes to her side and whispers in her ears

"Tobi is so excited in there....don't make him faint" she manages a smile as she sees her daughter who happens to be her flower girl, she feels so satisfied and so fulfilled....... her mother walks her to the isle and the moment Tobi sees her, he smiles so broadly, his heart resting and settling at last....every step she takes comes with a lot of confidence and assurance that she has a happy and bright marriage ahead of her, she's handed over to Tobi and they silently flirt with their eyes........ the time for vows come and it's the thing that scares her to death, but just like how it should be,Tobi said 'I DO"

"You're the rib of my ribs, the flesh of my flesh Melanie..... I take thee forever"

"Tobias Akankwasa, you're the perfect man for me, my best friend, companion..... you see beyond my brokenness and bruises, you carry my weakness, my sickness, my brokenness all on your shoulders.....my help comes from you and yes, I love you and I will take you as my beloved husband for the rest of my life and in the next life after this one" they are declared husband and wife amid tears of joy and cheers as they kiss with them both holding Mira's hands........
