“Why is this girl not yet back from…” Mrs. Ridoh asked, stopping in her track as there was a knock on the door.
“Come in” Haq said
Tife came in. She was breathing hard. She searched around the house with her eyes, scanning the whole place.
“She’s not yet back” Her subconscious said.
“Good evening ma” She found her voice greeting.
“Evening dear. How are you?”
“I’m fine ma”
“Is.. Aliyah… Aliyah said I should help her drop her bag at home” She stammered.
Mrs. Ridoh looked at her. Something wasn’t right. She looks frightened and her lips quiver.
“Where is she” Haq asked.
“Umm… She stayed behind for lesson” Tife wished she didn’t lie buh she had no choice. She might tell the truth and Aliyah might just walk in. That would be trouble for her.
“Lesson!” Mrs. Ridoh and Haq chorused.
“Aliyah never attend lesson. Moreover, this is the time for her Arabic class.” Mrs. Ridoh added.
“Yes… Yes… That’s what she said, Ara.. Ara” Tife said, making sure she doesn’t bite her tongue.
Mrs. Ridoh smiled. “It’s Arabic” She corrected. “Okay. Drop it there, Hameed would take it inside. “Thank you so much dear” She added.
Tife dropped it and quickly hurried out. She wondered how Aliyah is over there. She wished they didn’t trek at all. She thought of going back there but her parents. She had left grace and gift alone to share the mangoes. Her appetite were nowhere to be found when she stopped in her track, looked back and didn’t see Aliyah. She waited for hours and when she didn’t see her. She guesses she might have taken another way and decided to go to their house.
Tears formed in her eyes as she went home. If anything happens to her best friend, she won’t forgive herself. Thousands of thought played in her mind.
“Aliyah” She muttered breathlessly.
“That girl looks frightened.” Mrs. Ridoh said, staring at Haq who concentrated on his phone.
“Did Aliyah ever go to Arabic school without….” Her phone rang before she could complete the statement.
“Oops! It’s an emergency” She said as she dropped the phone running up the stairs to her room.
“I’ll be back.” She said as she dashed out of the room. “Dusk or dawn” She added, slamming the door.
“Okay mum” Haq answered but he wasn’t even sure if she had as she was already out. He heard the sound of her car ignited.
Aliyah sat still with her eyes open. She has had enough mangoes. Her white was stained. The peels and the mango seeds were inside a nylon. That was one thing she liked doing, she never threw away the wraps of anything she bought. Silly act!
Aliyah glared at the man. She was mad for nothing but something. How could someone be reading newspaper for hours. As the man read, so, did he receive calls. She could see and hear him. She hissed several times. She wish she’d just disappear.
Aliyah thought of what to do. If she tried to get down, the man would know. If not for the “Old soldier” they tagged him, she would have risked it. She stared at him and Watched him relax while reading.
“We die here together” Said, her subconscious.
Aliyah rolled her eyes. She rested her head on one of the branches. Stared at the sky and closed her eyes. She went into thoughts buh wasn’t deep into it as she heard a sound of a glass break. She looked down and saw the man standing, he opened his door and went in, probably to take broom and pack the broken glass.
Aliyah didn’t blink before she hurried down. She got down fast and on to the fence. She looked down and the ground seems to be far from the fence.
“How you wan take do am. Your leg go scatter o” Her subconscious said.
“Na true o. Ah no fit o. The…” She muttered but stopped when she heard the door open.
Without thinking twice, she jumped down and landed on both feet. She shut her eyes slowly whimpering.
“E don break” Her subconscious asked.
“Ah no know. Make I check” She slowly got up. She held her leg and stood up on her feet. She felt no pain.
“Check if you sabi walk” Her subconscious said.
As if being under a remote, she took a step slowly and carefully as if it would break if she tried to walk. Before she could take another step slowly, checking if her legs were in the right condition, the gate opened revealing the man.
“Yeeeee!” Aliyah screamed and took to her heels not testing if she could still walk.?
Tife walked as fast as she could. She had went to her house to check on her and met brother Haq who told her no. She decided to go and check there. She wouldn’t just leave her best friend in danger.
She was almost there when she saw Aliyah running with a fast speed. She was happy Aliyah’s safe buh fear gripped her when she saw her running like that. She guessed Aliyah was probably being chased by soldiers. Before the mention of Jack, Tife took to her heels.
Smiles…. Sorry this one is short?. To be continued…0August 12, 2020 at 1:24 pm #1404793ThecomelyMember

Days turned into weeks, months, years. The past was now a memory. Some memories are bad while some are good. The bad one hurts while the good ones gives joy.
Aliyah and Tife remained best of friends. One way or the other, Aliyah would get into trouble but she was just such a lucky girl, getting away with it by luck. It’s either she got caught doing something and she’d claim not being guilty or got into fights with her sharp tongue defending her friends. Luckily, no one had ever defeated her. She was smart enough not to exchange blows but deal secretly with the person without leaving traces.
There was this particular day one of her seniors would never forget. He cursed the day he met Aliyah. His name is Dayo. Dayo was the head prefect. He was brilliant and handsome. He loved girls so much and they also admire him. He played with girls and dropped them like dirt after making love.
It was just few months after Aliyah’s adventure on the mango tree that he saw her. They were having sport and almost all the students were in their sports wear. Aliyah was also participating and had to wear her sports wear which revealed all her body curves. She had no hijab on. It was killing. She almost fell down due to the eyes that was glaring at her. The two friends had burst out laughing when One of their seniors hit his leg on a stone while lost staring at Aliyah.
One of the teacher sent Aliyah to call the head prefect that his attention was needed. The two friends had both went in search for the prefect. He was nowhere to be found. They were tired searching for him. They were returning to the field when they sighted him walking with his friends.
They ran up to him, calling him as everywhere was rowdy. Dayo stopped in his track. He looked at them as they ran towards him. He knew his attention was needed. He had been trying to avoid.
“What!?” He barked at them.
Tife told him as Liyah bowed trying to catch her breath.
“Go, I’m coming now” Dayo answered, wanting to leave.
“Yeh! He said you should follow us” Aliyah screamed as if she was talking to a deaf man. She already raised her head now.
Dayo was annoyed. He wanted to say something but it was as if he was stopped. He heard a chorus of “Wow!” That was his friends.
Aliyah and Tife glanced at each other wondering what was wrong.
“Abi wire wants to shock all this one ni” Her subconscious cursed. Aliyah nodded positively to it.
“Oh… Okay, move” Dayo finally said.
Aliyah and Tife moved while Dayo followed behind.
“Una dey mad. Dem dey call Una?” Dayo fired at his friends who were following him. They glanced at each other before turning away. Aliyah and Tife chuckled.
Dayo stared lustfully at Aliyah from behind. He was having a hard on already. His blood raised as Aliyah’s booty moved rhythmically. He wondered if she was doing it on purpose. Poor Aliyah knew nothing. She just walked on with her friend.
Dayo smiled to himself. He must have her. At all cost.
The day ended not without Dayo searching around if he could get to talk to Aliyah. The next day at school, he had walked round the whole Sss classes and finally found her.
Ever since then, Aliyah knew no rest. It’s either one junior enters their class and ask of her or another one taps her on her way home and tell her Senior Dayo is calling her.
Aliyah knew what he was driving at. Love her foot! She knew it was lust. Her mom had counsel her several times and lectured her. She knew almost everything an adult knew not about matured minds.
She was getting fed up with his persistent calling here and there. She already told him no but he was still adamant.
On her way home one day with her friend, she had it not in mind to trek but she lost her money and Tife had little with her, so she suggested they take a walk home.
She talked about Dayo to Tife who felt disgusted with his attitude. “What will you do now? Or maybe you should report him” Tife suggested but Aliyah was faraway.
“Aliyah!” Tife screamed her name, jolting her off her thoughts.
Aliyah smiled. “I have a plan” She said, pointing at the mango tree.
The next day at school. Aliyah was called for by Dayo. Aliyah stood up slowly smiling. Tife returned the smile. She agreed to Dayo. Dayo couldn’t help smiling throughout the day.
Aliyah told Tife. Tife asked when the plan was going to be carried out.
“Very soon” Replied Aliyah, grinning.
Very soon came too soon. Dayo started asking Aliyah to come visit him. Aliyah told Tife who smiled. He would regret he took this step. He met with the wrong person.
“What’s wrong with you? Why are you doing this? You’re acting like a kid. You know I love you. Let me prove my love to you. Don’t you love me?” Dayo ranted on and on.
They’d met after closing hour. Tife was few steps away from them. She could hear their conversation. This was part of Aliyah’s plan.
“I do. But, I’m the only one at home. I can’t leave. He…” Aliyah said, rubbing her palms together.
“What! You’re the only one at home?” Dayo asked, surprised.
Aliyah nodded positively. She wished he’d suggest he visit.
“Should I come?”
Aliyah’s face lit with joy. Her wish just came through. She wish she hadn’t wasted her wish and wished for something else. “Bastard”
“Should I?” Dayo asked again, holding Aliyah’s hand.
Aliyah nodded. “But you don’t know my house, shey you’ll follow me?”
“Let’s go” Dayo agreed. He felt so happy. At last, he was gonna strike today.
“But, you’ll have to come at night o. Don’t know the gate o. When you enter the compound, just call me” Aliyah said.
Dayo didn’t know if he should go for thanksgiving. He was really happy. If only he knew.
Tife smiled mischievously as the trio walked along to Aliyah’s unknown house. Aliyah stopped when they were few steps away from Old soldier’s house. She pointed at it and asked Dayo if he could fly over the fence.
Dayo nodded smiling.
Aliyah smiled and pull his hear then whispered “9pm” and bit his ear. Dayo shivered and almost c-m immediately. He hugged her and watch as she swayed her buttocks under her skirt. His d--k almost tore his trouser if not for the hard fabric.
Aliyah looked back and smiled at him. “Don’t knock. 9pm” She said to his hearing as she watched him stop a bike and left.
When he was out of sight. Aliyah and Tife glanced at each other. “The hard part” Aliyah said.
Yeah, that was the hardest part of the plan. They knocked the gate and waited for response but got none. They knocked again. No response. They made to hit the gate the third time when it opened.
Aliyah recognized the man, old soldier. Tife clinched tightly to Aliyah seeing the man’s face.
“What?” How may I help you, young girls” The man asked in his baritone voice.
Aliyah summoned courage. “Let us enter first, we don’t want to be seen” Aliyah said.
The man looked around, stared at them and let them in. Aliyah felt relieved a bit. Now, it’s time to cook.
“Sir, as we were…” Aliyah started
“Come, have a seat first” The man offered.
“Thank you sir” Tife spoke for the first time. She was busy staring at the compound.
“Sir, as we were coming… No, yes… When we closed….” Aliyah stammered as she cooked up a story telling the man they overheard some guys in their school saying they want to come and rob his house. She went on and on twisting the story until she was short of lies.
“How sure are you? It might not be here” Old soldier asked after Aliyah concluded her story.
“Sir, how did I know you’re old soldier? They mentioned old soldier and even said there’s mango in your compound. The leader said he’ll climb the fence then call others when he’s in and open the Gate for them” Aliyah said, confidently according to her plan.
The old soldier thanked them and offered them drinks but they refused.
“Sir, please, don’t mention our name when you catch them, it is 9pm sir, they said 9 dot” Aliyah added after the man opened the gate for them as they made to leave. Tife just nodded to everything Aliyah said.
“You girls are brave. I’ll be on guard. If it’s true, I’ll contact you two” He commented them.
Aliyah smiled and they left. They both pray Dayo fall into their trap.
Old soldier made a call to the headquarters requesting for two able men.
Dayo checked the time over and over. He couldn’t wait. He took another sachet of dry gin and sipped it. “Omo, this girl go feel me” He boasted and imagine Aliyah screaming while he bang her. Konji dey do am…? Immediately it was 8:50, he stopped a bike. He tried calling the number Liyah gave him but it was unreachable. He guessed her phone has switched off.
He got there around 5 past nine. “Oh! Ah don late” He muttered. If only he knew he was late for punishment. If only he knew trouble awaits him.
He jumped on the fence, checked left and right. He saw no one, satisfied, he landed into the compound.
He took out his phone to call the number which was nothing but a fake number Aliyah gave him.
The house seemed to double. His legs got weak. Everywhere was blurred. His cheek was burning while his ear was making funny sounds. He looked down and his trouser was wet. He had urinated. He had been slapped from behind by one of the soldiers Old soldier placed on guard.
The next day at school. Aliyah and Tife checked if they would see him but they didn’t see him. They guessed their plan worked out but they were not sure.
A week later, the day they were starting their exam, Dayo came to school. He had bandage all over him. His cheeks were swollen. Students couldn’t help but stared at him. Dayo felt ashamed. Even his crush un crushed. They wondered what happened to him. Aliyah and Tife rolled uncontrollably on the floor laughing when they saw him.
“Motor don jam am o” Aliyah exclaimed, tears rolling down her face as she held her tummy in pain.
Only Dayo could tell what happened. Till he graduated from school, he avoided Tife and Aliyah like a plague. All his thoughts were, Aliyah’s dad is a general. Had he known, he wouldn’t have went there. He regret meeting her. Konji has landed him in trouble. Konji na ba….
