Self-proclaimed Rapunzel in real life, a woman named April with a height of 1.67 m, with long hair reaching to her heels, is now famous on social networks with 9,000 followers. On her personal page, she diligently shares photos of her long, shiny hair.
“I try to look artistic and creative in my photos. A lot of people have offered to buy my hair, even willing to pay thousands of dollars for me to cut it,” said April.
This mother said that as a child, she was a big fan of country singer Crystal Gayle, who also had long hair that reached the ground. Therefore, she did not want to cut her hair, but kept it longer and longer.
“When I was a kid, my hair grew slowly and it looked like I was going to go bald, and that was when my hair was the shortest. I said I wanted to have long hair like Crystal Gayle’s and now I’m close to it,” April shared.
Even in her teenage years, when friends and family encouraged April to have a shorter and more fashionable hairstyle, she refused to cut it.
In high school, April met the love of her life, Thomas, who is now her daughter’s father. “He’s seen me grow up, and he’s also seen my hair grow,” April said. “He used to joke that both of us couldn’t even go to dinner without someone asking about our hair.
Most people were so cute and kind, they asked me how long it took to wash and dry my hair. It doesn’t take long to wash, but it’s the drying that matters. The whole process can take up to 10 hours.”
