This small family-owned mill has been manufacturing soap since the 15th century. It currently claims to produce the most costly soap bar in the world. According to reports, the bar of soap costs $2,800.
Bader Hassan & Sons’ handcrafted soap brand, Khan Al Saboun, is situated in Tripoli and Lebanon. The company makes a variety of luxury soaps as well as skincare items that contain natural scents and essential oils.
These products are only available in Dubai’s and the UAE’s most prestigious stores. The most expensive goods, on the other hand, are reserved for VIPs and special guests. The soap was created in 2013 as a one-of-a-kind present for Qatar’s first lady. Gold and diamond powder are used to make the most costly soap bar.
Originally, the soap bar resembled a piece of cheese, a particularly pricey one to be honest. It hasn’t been refined. Amir Hasen, the company’s CEO, can be seen in a viral video giving the bar soap to Shaila Sabt, a Bahraini actress and Instagram sensation. The soap bar is personalized with the recipient’s name. It’s also decorated using 24-karat gold, weighing in at 17 grams.
When the BBC first reported the most expensive soap bar in 2015, the luxurious product was said to have a rough texture since it was made with gold and diamond powder. But according to Amir Hasen, it won’t hurt the skin.
Besides gold, the soap bar contains a few grams of diamond powder, organic honey, pure olive oil, dates, and aged oud.
