LEAH POV
All the anger I felt towards Eric went away as he kissed me, I felt his hands moving around my boobs and it awakened so much pleasure in me
I found myself moaning in between the the kiss, the feelings was just out of this world until suddenly, I heard a deep voice and I jerked away from him,
turning I saw Valentine looking as if he had just seen a ghost,
I felt relieved that it was him and not a teacher or else I would have been in hot soup,
although I was already feeling embarrassed , there was a moment of silence before I decided to speak.
“Hey bestie, surprised to see you ”
He just stared at me blankly, I could see he was hurt, and he was trying to fight tears but I didn’t understand why he felt that way,
I could also sense Eric was not comfortable so I had to come up with a solution to ease the tension building .
” Hey bestie , you look like you have just been hit by a train are you ok”
“Ohhh yes, I guess I was just stunned to see you two kissing and smoshing each other it seems you guys made up”
“Yes bestie, I couldn’t hold the grudges for so long, so how did you find us”
“Let’s just say I alway have my eyes on you, it’s my duty to protect you as your bestie.
Leah if you don’t mind I’ll like to have a word with Eric in private please ”
“What’s so special that you can’t say it in front of me”
“it’s just guys talk, we’ll be back before you know it”
I wasn’t comfortable but it seemed Eric read my mind and he spoke
“Baby, i think whatever he has to say it’s important, please excuse us,” he gave me a kiss while standing up
“OK oh, you guys shouldn’t keep me waiting”
I watched as they walked out together but I could sense all was not well with my bestie, I made a mental note to talk to him later.
I started feeling bored when they left before Eric’s phone caught my attention, so I picked it up and unlocked it, a part of me wanted to go through the phone,while another was screaming drop the phone
I eventually gave in, he still had the last picture we took together as his screen saver, just then a WhatsApp message entered, I opened it and it read
******baby boo, I know you enjoyed me the last time we had it, i miss your d**k so much, right now I’m wet just thinking of your d**k hard inside my p***y, riding me hard. Can I come over to your place*****
Another message came in and it was a picture of her wet p***y
My heart boiled in rage, I felt my knee go numb, my eyes became full threatening to explode any minute, I still held the phone looking at the pictures when I heard Eric voice
“baby are you OK”, as if on que he took the phone from me
“baby it’s not what you think…. Baby please let me explain”
The next thing I heard was a heavy punch, Valentine was already on top Eric landing several blows to his face.
I screamed and begged, also trying to pull Valentine away from Eric, before he stopped and let him go, by then Eric was already bleeding from his nose.
I quickly gave him my hand towel to clean up himself.
“Eric I think you should leave now please”
“baby please let me explain, it’s not what you think I…….
“She said leave” Val interfered.
” Shut up both of you!!!! Eric please leave me for now”
I saw he felt bad, but I needed time to calm down.
“OK my love,just know I’ll never hurt you intentionally ” he replied defeated.
” it’s OK, take care of yourself and call me as soon as you get home”
“Bye love”. He said leaving.
As he walked away, a part of me wanted to call him back and look at his bleeding nose, but I was hurt too, I decided to let him go.
I turned to face Valentine who was already bowing his head
“Can you please tell me the meaning of what you just did, you have no right to hit him, it’s me he hurt not you” I yelled at him
“Yes, I agree that I have no right to hit him, but I don’t regret it, if I have the opportunity I’ll hit him again, he such a useless, pathetic…….
That was it, I couldn’t take it anymore more and I gave him a hot slap.
I didn’t know why I did that, I felt remorse and thought of apologising, but I thought against it, he deserved that for hiting Eric the way he did.
“Even if you slap me a hundred times, it won’t stop me from hiting anyone that hurts you, because the moment he made you drop a tear he wagged a war with me.
No one can ever mess with you, because I love you so much, I can never watch you get hurt”
With that he walked away from me. I stood there transfixed not sure of what I heard. The words kept replaying in my head……. “I love so much”
It can’t be possible, he is my bestie and nothing more.
I tried convincing myself but what I saw in his eyes gave me a reason to doubt.
I walked back to my hostel still asking myself the same question
Does he really love me?
VALENTINE POV
My heart broke a thousand times when I saw Leah and that Eric guy going towards the cashew tree at the back of the school field, they didn’t see me because where I was, was hidden.
It was a very quiet place which I normally visit every Saturday to put my emotions Into sketches of beautiful work of art.
Out of curiosity, I decided to follow them to see what they were up to.
When they settled at the tree i still hid be hind, for some reason I wanted to leave but a part of me really wanted to know what was going to happen,
I was still making up my mind when soft moans distracted my reasoning, I was shocked to see that They were kissing passionately.
That moment, all my hormones started rising in anger, i drew my fist ready to attack. In my range I busted out and they separated.
I battled with my emotions for a while and I finally calmed down……..
I drank the remaining coffee I was holding and threw the cup to the wall smashing it in the process.
“oboy no break person head oh, na the cup do you” My conner mate Nelson brought me back to reality making me realize the damage I just caused.
Quickly I began clearing the broken pieces before I would start answering jamb questions.
“my guy, I’ve told you countless times, tell this babe how you feel about her, forget this bestie stuff, stop dying in silence.
“Imagine watching her kissing another guy, its time to take my chances bro, I can’t continue like this”
“na now you com, omo no dulling for this thing ooh, before you go dey for river soap enter your eye”
“true talk man, I really love this girl bro, I see my future with her”
“all you need do is to change your package ”
“I will do whatever it takes to get her”

The dinning bell rang and we started preparing for dinner, I concluded that I’ll talk to Leah and officially start my plans of wooing her.
I took out my well ironed check and trousers, applied body spray and combed my hair, I got good looks I’m not surprised so many girls were throwing their self on me, but I only wanted one person and that is my bestie, and I will get her.
Eric POV
Lookingat my swollen lips and red eye on my mirror made me hate that bastard more.
I always knew he had something for my Leah, and to make matters worse he warned me to stay away from her, he even had the guts to hit me.
And then that stupid girl, sending me those rubbish stuff when I was trying to make things right between I and Leah.
She must pay for ruining my date also that bastard for hitting me, meanwhile I I will concentrate first on settling things with my girl.
I took out my phone to call her.
“hello Eric, are you home now”
“yes my love, I’m sorry for what happened, please it’s not what you are think”
“please let’s not talk about that, anyway I’m so sorry about the episode my friend put up, I apologize on his be half”
“it’s OK, I mean he’s your bestie and was only trying to protect you”
“still doesn’t give him the right to hit you ”
“I love you Leah, I really do. I wish all these never happened, I miss us”
“I miss us too, I beg to end the call now, it’s almost time for dinner ”
” OK love, take care I love you ” ” love you too, bye”
I felt relived hearing her say those words, at least I’m making improvements, “this calls for celebration!”.
I went out to grab a bottle of chilled Hero.
