To Hell With Love

(Episode four)

Lara was still waiting at the visitors balcony when she was called by the secretary that the boss is in the office.

"Ma'am, you can go in the boss is in the office now, the secretary said to her.
" Thanks , Lara said as she stood up , she asked for the direction to the office and the secretary led her through.
while climbing the staircase , her heart was beating very fast, the words of her boss was echoing in her mind.
"oh God please you have to help me get the contract signed , please God, Lara silently said within her.

" Here you go ma, the secretary said as she opens the door to the boss office.
"sir here is the Lady who wants to meet with you, the secretary said to a young man whose back was facing them.
" OK, you may leave, young Lady take sit , I'm coming let me quickly gets this file, the young man said still with his back facing Lara.

Just as Lara was about to take a sit, the young man turned , Immediately Lara saw him, she staggered on her feet almost falling to the floor.

"Easy, Easy, Michael said as he rushed to catch Lara.
Lara couldn't believe her eyes and same with Michael. They were both staring at each other.
Lara was dumbfounded and at the same time was feeling bad, she can't believe that the same guy she slapped yesterday is the same person she has been longing to meet since morning.
Lara thought within herself that she has already lost the contract remembering all that she have said and done to Micheal.

Michael on the other hand behaved cool, he didn't show any sort of reaction rather he told Lara to get a sit , so that they can discuss the reason why she is here.

" young Lady what's your name and why are you here, Michael said without a glance at Lara.
"Lara handed some papers to him as she said her name.
" my name is Lara George , I'm a member of the public relations personnel in Grace Adams limited company, Lara said still with fear and guilt in her. As she was talking her voice was trembling, she had expected that Michael would yell at her but instead he behaved calmly and that kept Lara wondering.

"OK , miss or mrs Lara , which one, Michael asked
" its miss Lara... Lara replied.
"OK fine, have gone through your proposal and have seen all your designs, I must confess that they are good , nevertheless we will cross check it and if it fits our demand we will get back to you, Michael said looking straight into Lara's eyes. Lara couldn't stand his gaze as she bow her head.

" o..OK..sir , thank you, so..so, when should we be expecting your reply, Lara said stammering.
Michael almost laughed at her behavior but he controlled himself.
"well like I said earlier we will get back to you very soon, just make sure you dropped your number with the secretary on your way going, Michael said
Lara nods her head as confirmation to do exactly what he said.
" OK then, its was nice meeting you, Michael said as he stretch forth his hands, the same hands that he had wanted to touch Lara with but instead she gave him a slap.
"Lara looked at his hands , she was feeling scared to shake him remembering how she had slapped him with her owns hands and that same hands are what she going to use to shake him. she reluctantly brought out her hands and shake Michael's hands but with her eyes closed, Michael saw it and smiled.

After the shaking of hands as Lara was about going , Michael called her back, that moment she thought Michael wants to remind of their difference in the past, she just couldn't wait for him to say anything as she quickly open her mouth and said
" I'm sorry for everything, please don't terminate this contract, it means a lot to my boss and my company, she said as she knelt down.

Michael was surprised, he had only called her back to tell her his name and not to terminate any contract.
"No, No, am not terminating any contract, I only called you to tell my name which I was supposed to do earlier if you had asked.

" oh..mm..em..sorry , Lara said standing up, so what's your name? Lara asked.
"my name is Michael and my brother's name is Kenneth, you might also be meeting him in case am not around, Michael said
" OK, it was then clear to Lara what the M&K stands for , ( Michael and Kenneth).

(Episode five)

Later in the night when Lara got home , she was feeling so restless, remembering the meeting she had earlier with Michael.
she thought within herself that Michael was a very cool guy, if it were to be other person maybe he would have walked her out of his office and terminated the contract.
Lara thought and thought, she was just confused not knowing what will come out of all these, she just pray she hear from him very soon because her boss will be on her neck until this deal is finalised.

One week passed and Lara have not heard anything from Michael or his company, her boss have been disturbing her in the office, she was so confused and started thinking otherwise.
"could this mean he had terminated the deal!
" No he can't, he promised not to terminate it , he said he will go through all the design and will let me know if he likes it or not .
oh God please what's happening, Lara thought within herself while she was in her sitting room . After some minutes it was as if God heard Lara's prayer , her phone rang. Lara checked it , the number was unknown , she wonder who it was and just as she picked it , she heard a male voice.

"Hello, the voice said
" Hello, please who is speaking ? Lara asked
" This is Michael the CEO of the M&K company, Michael said

Lara's joy knew no bound when she found out that Michael was the one who called.
"Good day Sir, Lara said trying to be official but Michael cut it all short as he said " Please be in my office first thing tomorrow morning to sort some things out" , the moment he said this he hung up.

Lara was so shocked, she thought that wasn't it the same Michael who tried to talk to her some days ago , he sounded so nice that she concluded he was a flirt and when she met him in his office he behaved cool that made her see herself as the bad person because Michael turned out to be a cool guy , so why is he strict all of a sudden.
only God knows what tomorrow meeting with him would look like.

very early in the morning Lara arrive at Michael's office, this time Michael was around.

"Good morning Mr Michael, Lara greeted . Michael just gave a nod without replying , he brought out a file and threw it on the table.
" what is this? he asked
"sir, what do you mean?Lara asked
" I mean those designs, can't you see that they are lame, see young Lady if you want to work with us and if know you want to get your company this contract ,then you have to be extraordinary creative, Michael said making Lara so shocked
"what's has gotten into him during the week, is he now preparing his own pay back to what she did to him before? why is he now behaving somehow to me, Lara thought
" look sir, if you don't like the design , I can create a new one please don't terminate the deal, Lara said calmly trying to control her temper because she really went through a lot of stress before getting those designs and someone is now asking her to redo it.
"Better for you , please do it again, I expected a lot from you not this lame work, Michael said . This time Lara was just enduring it, she was loosing it badly but there's nothing she can do .
" so sir when do you want them , I mean the new designs? Lara asked
"first thing tomorrow morning, Michael said and Lara's eyes popped out.
" Mr Michael , do you know what you are saying, it took me so many hours and sleepless night to get all these design and you are now saying I should get a new one before tomorrow, I'm sorry but I can't, and besides what's wrong with this design ?Lara said pointing at the other designs

Michael started clapping his hands making Lara to wonder what's happening
"This is it, the once fearless Lady I met some days ago not the shaking one that came to my office the other day, Michael said making Lara more confused.
" what is he saying and what is trying to do?
